Meet the Great Lakes' Team!

Founded in 1989, Great Lakes Video Services was created to provide live event videotaping and
production services to the West Michigan market.

Over time, the company has grown to add a full range of video services, including duplication services, packaging for both videotape and disc media, rare format transfers and archiving, event planning and marketing assistance. Recently, our archiving department grew (again!) to include media organization, consolidation, digital preservation and off-site backup copies. Our goals are simple:

1. To provide one stop shopping for any video related project.

2. To provide outstanding customer service and careful attention to every project, big and small.

In order to accomplish these goals, a good team is necessary. Our team includes:

Nicole Yankee, President:
Niki was hired as Office Manager in 1990, and in 2002 purchased the company. As our company
President and CEO, Niki takes care of large projects, customer service, overseeing live events and
the daily flow of operations. Niki also serves as Producer and Editor on many corporate projects.

Chay Yankee, Technical Manager
Need help choosing the right video format? Want to discuss widgets or whats-its or encoding variables
and bit rates? Chay helps keep our technical departments running smoothly, and that includes staying informed on the latest and greatest technological tools. In his 17-year career with the company,
he's become so invaluable to some of his clients that he now offers in-studio and over-the-phone
technical support.

Del Yakes, Film Transfer Specialist
In the 6 years since Del was hired, he has single-handedly transferred over 2 million feet of film.
(Whew!). In fact, he carefully and meticulously transfers about 350,000 feet per year. With more and
more corporate clients needing archival back-ups of their original films, Del has helped to develop DVD authoring and chaptering protocols for large jobs.

Josh Vissers, Special Projects/Archivist
Under Chay's careful training, Josh recently completed an archiving project consisting of over
900 masters. Josh also assists with audio enhancement, duplication, and basic editing projects.

Kevin Budzynski, Videographer
Kevin joined the company four years ago and has proved to be a key element in our videography team.
When you hire the Great Lakes' studio to shoot montage footage, Kevin can usually be found behind
the camera. His keen eye for "capturing the moment" has enabled our editors to create some truly memorable highlight videos.

It goes without saying that some projects require special reinforcements and a "backup team."
